Will the alarm still sound if the tab is in the background?
The beep plays as soon as the countdown reaches zero. Browsers may pause AudioContext while a tab is hidden, so keep the tab audible and in the foreground for the most reliable alarm.
How do I set a 5-minute timer?
Leave hours and seconds at 0 and set the minutes field to 5, then press Start. The big display counts down and the progress bar fills as time runs out.
Can I pause and resume?
Yes. Press Pause to freeze the remaining time, then press Start again to continue exactly where you left off.
