How to use the Random Number Generator

Enter the minimum and maximum values for your range.

Choose how many numbers you want and whether they should be integers or decimals. Tick unique only to avoid repeats.

Press Generate, then Copy the list to use it anywhere you like.

Frequently asked questions

Are the numbers truly random?

They are generated with your browser’s cryptographically secure random source (crypto.getRandomValues) using rejection sampling, so every value in the range is equally likely.

What does ‘unique only’ do?

It makes sure no number is repeated in the output. You must ask for no more numbers than the range contains, otherwise the tool reports an error.

Can I generate decimal numbers?

Yes. Choose the float option and pick how many decimal places you want, then any value between the minimum and maximum is produced as a random decimal.
