Frequently asked questions
What does case-insensitive sorting do?
It compares letters without regard to capitalisation, so apple and Apple are treated as the same and sorted side by side.
How does numeric sorting work?
It reads the first number on each line with parseFloat and sorts by that value, so 2 comes before 10. Lines without a number sink to the bottom.
Will sorting remove duplicates?
Only when you tick Remove duplicates. With case-insensitive also on, Cat and cat count as the same line.
