Frequently asked questions
What counts as a word here?
Anything made of letters, digits, apostrophes or hyphens. Punctuation and surrounding whitespace are ignored, so don't and mother-in-law stay single words.
What are stop words?
Very common short words such as the, and and of. Ticking ignore stop words hides them so the interesting, rarer words stand out.
How is the list sorted?
By count from highest to lowest, and ties are broken alphabetically. The minimum count field hides rare words you do not care about.
